Ingram House

Joining a thriving community
for older people

“Our strength lies in our passion and commitment. We believe a holistic approach is essential to the nurturing and caring of older people and ensuring their wellbeing.”

Ethna Mertens, Clinical Governance & Safeguarding Lead

Ingram House is a 27 bed, residential care home for self-funding residents, set within the beautiful grounds of our thriving Whiteley Village community and offers award-winning* person-centred care in a peaceful, comfortable and homely environment.

Community is central to our ethos at Whiteley, and so everyone who lives here is not just a resident but a villager.

We encourage and enable every resident to participate as fully as they wish to, and are able to, in village life.

Family and friends are also encouraged to visit and are welcome to enjoy the many facilities on offer within our 225-acre estate.

Care Fees: From £1,100 per week. (All residents are assessed before admission by the Head of Care or our Clinical Lead to identify needs and dependency levels. Our fees are based on these assessments and chosen room.) All the proceeds from our self-funders help support the work of our charity and benefit the whole community at Whiteley Village.

* Winners of the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Platinum Award 2019 and joint finalists in the GSF Care Home of the Year Awards 2019.

Care and Wellbeing

  • Our passion is to offer residents person-centred care from our highly skilled nursing and care team in a homely environment. We seek to enable residents to live fulfilling lives by providing care that enhances independence and choice, and respects dignity and privacy
  • When you move to Ingram House, we will want to know all about your interests and hobbies so we can support you to continue with them. We offer a wide range of activities, tailored to your individual needs, overseen by our Wellbeing Coordinator and supported by other members of our Whiteley Village community. Residents are also encouraged to take part in the numerous social activities and events organised in the Village
  • Your wellbeing is our main concern and so our care team will seek to build a close relationship with you and your loved ones. Family and friends can visit at any time and we encourage their involvement in formulating individual care plans and activity programmes
  • We also have a Chaplain and a dedicated team of volunteers – many of whom are villagers too, who work with us to help ensure you will always feel a valued member of our community
  • We understand the importance of continuing to pursue friendships with those living outside the Village, as well as within it, and so we will do all we can to facilitate this

Dining Experience

  • We realise dining is an important part of the day. Delicious, varied and nutritious meals are prepared in our kitchens and served in the Ingram House dining room. Residents are also welcome to take meals in their room if they wish
  • Residents enjoy meeting with our chefs to chat about their personal meal choices. We also organise themed dining evenings including celebrating Chinese New Year, Wimbledon and Diwali to name a few and families and friends are always welcome to join their loved ones for meals at any time
