In Touch: December

10th December 2020

In her Christmas message in this edition of In Touch, our Chief Executive Rachel Hill reflects on a difficult year but one that has seen the Whiteley community pull together like never before. There have been some inspiring acts of kindness and generosity from those within the Village and from our amazing volunteers and supporters too, as seen in the photo here of staff and volunteers preparing hot meals for some of our most vulnerable residents. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Rachel comments on the successes achieved – most notably one of the lowest infection rates of any local care provider in the area, to date. At the end of November the Trust received another excellent report from the CQC on the quality of our infection prevention and control, and inspectors also praised the efforts of staff in combatting loneliness and isolation amongst our residents.
