Happy Birthday Ma’am

22nd April 2021

After all the sad royal news recently, staff and residents at Ingram House, one of the care homes at Whiteley Village, were delighted to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday yesterday during their regular afternoon tea. Activity Coordinator, Jess Sharp organised a special party fit for royalty with party crowns, fun face masks and Corgi-themed birthday cake. Just to ensure no-one dozed off after all the delicious party food, there was also a royal quiz and word search to round off the event.

Jess said: “It really was a great atmosphere, with lots of laughter. Everyone loved the crowns and we had a lot of fun with the Queen face masks too! Residents had been feeling sad for Her Majesty after the death of Prince Philip, and so they were really pleased to be able to come together and celebrate her birthday – especially on such a beautiful sunny day!”
