Meet our new Chaplain Julie Haworth

It is a pleasure to be asked to write a blog for your new website – already I am thinking how very ‘cool’ you are, I am impressed and only hope I will be able to keep up! I’m a ‘keeping a journal’ kind of person preferring pen and paper, so I guess that puts me into a ‘more mature age group’.

When I trained as an Occupational therapist in Manchester more years ago than I care to remember, we used typewriters and pen and paper.

Thirty years later (goodness really so many years?) when I began my ordination training in the Church of England (well I say C of E, but it was actually the Church of Wales Theological college where we trained alongside Methodist and Baptist students) I certainly had to come up to speed with my IT skills!

Now in its third year, Whiteley Village is the stage for a number of races within the stunning 225 acre grounds. With the perfect conditions, we were expecting a good turnout.
